Melony Gingery is a sculptor and dreamer who brings emotion to life through the innovative use of epoxy putty. From her studio in the rolling hills of West Virginia, her work explores the delicate balance between strength and softness, often centering on themes of feminine energy, resilience, self-healing and the quiet beauty of being.
“There is power in searching for light when the world seems dark.
My work is about finding a balance between the two ~Melony
A lifelong dreamer, Melony uses sculpture as a form of reflection and connection, inviting viewers to pause, feel, and interpret each piece in their own way. Her figures often embody movement, grace, and inner resilience, suspended between the real and the ethereal. Melony’s faceless sculptures are not just artistic creations; they are reflections of her journey and an invitation to others to explore their inner selves. Infused with whimsy and emotional depth, her work captures the beauty of transformation and the resilience of the human spirit. These pieces create space for introspection, allowing each viewer to project their own experiences onto her art.
Melony’s path as an artist has been shaped by a profound commitment to personal growth and creative freedom. Self-taught and driven by curiosity, she has embraced exploration and experimentation to master the versatile medium of epoxy putty. Each piece she creates is a testament to her persistence, as she turned life’s challenges into a source of inspiration and artistic expression.
Her art has earned its place in juried exhibitions such as Tamarack’s Best of West Virginia and ArtFields in South Carolina. Her work is held in private collections internationally and across the United States. She has also contributed to arts education in her community through the Artsbridge ArtCart program, helping to bring creativity and hands-on learning back into Wood County, WV elementary schools.
Her creative journey is one of curiosity and reverence—toward materials, meaning, and the unspoken stories we all carry within.
Melony’s creative journey continues to redefine the boundaries of art and its ability to uplift and inspire. Her legacy is one of light, balance, and unwavering determination to encourage all those she meets to Dream Always.
